Top 5 Time Wasters That Hurt Network Marketers

When you are a network marketing and work from home a great deal of the time there are plenty of things that can be time thieves. Here you will learn the top 5 time wasters that hurt network marketers.

#1 – Family & Friends (In Person)

Since we work from home, our family and friends often think that we are available just because we are not somewhere outside of the home working. It could be very innocent, something like, “Hey! Do you want chicken or beef for dinner tonight?” That is all that it takes to steal your focus and get your mind off in the wrong direction.

#2 – Family & Friends (Online)

Social media is great but when you are trying to work, you want to make sure that your notifications are off. If you have a Facebook tab up and it says you have even one notification, you may just be tempted to open it up and “just check for a minute.” Trolling social media liking and commenting on people’s photos and posts is not income producing activity.

#3 – Undone Tasks

If you home or business tasks that you have been putting off, these are going to distract you and waste your valuable brain power. If you have to put down whatever you are doing and get those things done, just do it.

#4 – Unqualified Leads

You may have leads to email or call but if they are not truly interested, you are wasting your time. Make them jump through a few hoops to ensure they are serious about learning more or you are just going to waste your time.

#5 – Missed Appointments

This has a bit to do with point number four. If you are dealing with unqualified leads you may be getting a lot of missed appointments. If you are booking that time and holding that spot for that lead and they do not show up, it is going to put you in a bad mood and you’ll waste your time being upset and trying to figure out something else to fill that time slot.

Don’t fall into these traps. You want to make sure that you set working hours so your friends and family know, clear up any tabs or notifications, get any undone tasks out of the way and only work with qualified leads.

Why You Need to Learn to Be a Network Marketing Professional

If you are in network marketing and not making any money that is most likely because you have not developed into a professional. Becoming a network marketing professional will allow you to start generating the money you would like to earn from this business.

As you can see, the biggest reason why you need to become a network marketing professional is because those are the people that get paid the big money. If you are a hobbyist or a newbie then you may be making a little bit of money but to get into the big time cash, you need to be serious about learning the business and creating massive sales volume throughout your teams.

Just as with any other business, the people that learn the skills and understand how to make things happen are the ones that make the most money. People pay for results and not good intentions. This is why it is important to become a professional when you have big goals.

Becoming a professional means that you need to know how to attract top talent to your team. You need to show them why they want to join your team instead of the many other people that are working on the same company or at least in the same type of product.

You also need to learn how to retain people in your organization by creating a culture where people want to stay.

There are many things that need to be learned when it comes to network marketing and becoming a professional and it does take time. If you are willing to keep a good attitude and keep moving forward, you will achieve your goals. Your main goal needs to be becoming a professional.

Your Book Report Is Coming Due!

Think back to when you were in school. Doesn’t matter whether it was middle school, high school or college. At some point you were given an assignment to write a book report or term paper on a particular subject and it would be due weeks or even months into the future, where it would then be handed into the teacher.

And I think it would be safe to say, that the majority of us would wait until almost the deadline date before we would even start working on that book report.

Why did we do that?

Now there were some students who would start working on their book report right away and would be finish months before it was due. We hated them right?

I mean, they weren’t cool. But again, why did we wait to get started? I believe during my entire time in school, I might have started on a book report or term paper right away ONCE and completed it weeks before it was due. I felt so free and easy. I remember walking the halls of my school bragging how I was all done and teasing my friends and classmates who weren’t.

Funniest thing though, I never ever did that again. Not in middle school, high school or college. And I don’t know why. I always waited until the last minute, but I always got it done. I justified my action by telling my fellow classmates some B.S. about how I liked working under pressure. But again, why the procrastination?

Well I might not know why I procrastinated. But I do know this, there is another “book report” coming due in ALL of our lives and if we wait until the last minute on this one, it’s gonna be curtains for us financially!

What am I talking about? In this case, your “book report” is your retirement date. The day you call it quits from working. The day you are no longer of any use to the employers out there because they would rather hire someone younger and pay them less. Question is, are you really working on your book report ferociously right now or are you still coasting and waiting until the last minute?

I was reminded recently that the average person has 25,550 days in which to live. So, if you’re at the half way point, that means you have 12,775 days left.

You see, there is a “book report” coming due and it’s coming due at the age of 65. The clock is ticking. And if you haven’t been working on it and think you’re going to “pull a rabbit out of a hat” at 65, you’re wrong. You don’t get a second shot at this book report friend. This great country of ours doesn’t treat it’s seniors who live on a fixed income very well at all. And besides, those of us who are half-spent on our 25,550 days probably won’t see social security anyway. The numbers just aren’t there for it.

But alas, you have a Plan B right? It’s going to make you financially independent?

And you plan on making up for all that lost time you haven’t been seriously working on your “book report” to make it all okay… right?

I mean who gives a second thought about becoming old, barely able to climb a flight of stairs and working part-time at McDonald’s flipping burgers or standing for a prolonged period of time at Walmart as a greeter to make ends meet?

However Y-O-U-R “book report” is coming due, will you get an “A” and retire financially set with no worries? Or will you get an “F” and rely on the government and your kids to support you into your last days?

The choice is yours. Start making everyday count my fellow entrepreneurs.

Why You Need To Think Differently In Your Career Planning

I have noticed that many students when passed out from high school are not able to take the right decision. And a decision taken at this stage is going to make a huge difference in your life; that is why it is so important to take the right decision at the very beginning.

Though there are some careers that you think of taking up which are as usual expected from you not only by your parent but also by the society at large.

There are many students who think “out of the box” now days and take up career that they never imagined ever.

It is very rare to find people training for careers that are not the usual careers that belong to the medicine, engineering or management categories. The main reasons for why you and many young people don’t think differently are:

1. Fear of an unsettled future:

In formative years when you see many well settled people with five-figure pay check, traveling in and out of airports and full of confidence; it makes you feel insecure in taking up career that is not familiar or usual for you.

A fear of an unsettled future troubles you and hinders any progress in planning for something different.

2. Insufficient infrastructure and training facilities:

When you passed out of University, it is difficult to take up different career in your life as you do not find the reliable training facilities and the infrastructure in your own country.

This forces you to look out for facilities in other countries abroad which is not easily affordable and is very inconvenient as far as living conditions and other factors involved.

3. Poor guidance:

There is not much information available except on the internet and people living in rural areas may not have easy access to the internet. The guidance to take up new career is not made available to you.

And hence the fear remains in you making you move away from such career even if it is your dream job.

4. Parental pressure:

The lack of parental support for your new career that seem attractive but people are unaware about it, is a great hindrance to you to pursue different career.

The mom and Dad want to play safe and make it sure knowing that you are on the way to well settled with the right job and one that is lucrative.

5. Peer pressure:

Peer pressure works both ways. You get pressurized by peers who have joined a course other normally chosen and go against all the odds with peers.

But at the same time peer pressure also discourages you joining of such out of the box career and forces you to take up career that is safe and secure.

6. You taught to be an employee:

The high-schools and Universities are not teaching you how to become a successful entrepreneur and business owner. They only teach you how to become a great employee.

This leads you not to think for different career other than a usual one. The fear of failing is the greatest cause of not to think differently.

But now days people like you started to think differently and took up career that did not follow the beaten path. Such differently available careers include those in the realm of sports and games, fashion industry, entertainment industry, game designers and testers and the list can go on and on.

In the internet world, one more career option available for you and young people is called work at home or internet marketing. Now more and more businesses coming online and there are thousands of legitimate home business opportunities you can venture for making online career profitable.

When I asked to some of my friends that why are they studying? Almost all of them replied the same thing- “FOR MAKING MONEY!”

If you are not able to choose a right career, entering in the world of Internet marketing or opting for home-based business is one of the most profitable and reliable online career with no Boss and no stress!

It is up to you to identify your aptitudes and capabilities and depending on your talents decide whether you want a home business career or you want to retire as an employee.
